Judd from Cannonsburg, MI & Scott from Rockford, MI joined me today for what turned into a great day of steelhead fishing on the Muskegon River in Michigan. Here’s a few of many from today.
As a fishing guide on the Muskegon River in Michigan few things give me more pleasure than getting my clients into great fish & this was one of those days! Judd holds one of his first steelhead ever caught in winter. This cookie cutter hen is a excellent sign of good things to come as new fish enter the river system for the annual spring migration not too far away.
Take a look at this beautiful “river” brown Judd slammed on his third cast. The Muskegon River trout fishing offers some of the best trout fishing in the country. Over the past few years I’ve witnessed the size of our resident trout population grow in both numbers and size. This brown is a prime example. Fly Fire River Guide Service prides itself offering clients the best trout fishing on the Muskegon River. If you like “stalking” 20+ inch trout and hitting them with dry flies, give us a call. Peak trout fishing starts in May through July and picks back up in September.
Here’s Scott with another great Buck!
Here’s Judd with another chromed out hen. For his first time winter fishing for steelhead, he did an excellent job! He hooked a massive buck right after this hen but, the buck grew camera shy near the boat.
Both Judd and Scott were into fish all day long. Here’s Judd with a gorgeous colored female hooked on the last cast. Great way to finish the day! Great job today guys!
