Beautiful 33″, 17lb chrome hen!
Year after year January and February has always produced some of the biggest steelhead of the year on the Muskegon river and this year is no different. Water levels are on the rise with the recent run-off. The higher water has brought more steelhead up the river system.
Nice crimson red winter buck
This temporary thaw has made for some excellent winter steelhead fishing. Look for the warm air temps to continue through the week and then turn back to winter temps late next week.
Really nice “thick” chrome hen
More chrome hens are showing up in the river system. This is a great sign of better things to come for the up-coming spring steelhead run.
