If you never felt the fight of a fresh king salmon on the swing in a deep river pool with a fly rod you are missing out my friend! These kings, fresh from Lake Michigan have all their power and fight to make the most advance fly angler take notice. No other fresh water fish in North America can fight like a Muskegon River king salmon.
Despite the lack of good flows and cool water temps the king salmon are starting their annual migration up the river system on the Muskegon staging in deep slow pools awaiting the fall spawn.
