Here’s Father Joe (pictured with the net), Bert in the middle holding a nice crimson red steelhead, and Father Ron; all of which hooked and landed some outstanding steelhead throughout the day. Nothing like having a little luck on your side when you have two Catholic Priests in the boat to turn the bite on. And turn the bite on they did as we had several opportunities at some world class steelhead.
The higher water has brought in another fresh batch of steelhead. With the water levels the way they are now we can expect some really good steelhead fishing throughout May, giving way to the gray drake hatch the end of May which offers the best dry fly trout fishing of the year on the Muskegon River.
