(Nice fall steelhead from the Muskegon river that decided to play)
Even though it was just a few hours, it felt so good to be able to get a line wet and feel that tug again only a fall steelhead from the Muskegon river can produce! Water levels and clarity are excellent right now. The river is in a perfect transition time where the steelhead seek refuge in new lies throughout the river system as the water temps have dropped more than 4 degrees in the past two days holding around the 45 degree point. Colder weather and rain in the forecast is exactly what’s needed to bring more steelhead up the river system. Get ready for better things to come!
