Here’s my great friend and long time fishing client Bob from Madison, WI with an incredible “One-In-A- Million” vibrant crimson red Muskegon River steelhead. Absolutely amazing steelhead Bob! Congrats my friend!!

We could fish steelhead the rest of our lives and never see such a beautifully colored steelhead like Bob’s ever again. Bob’s steelhead is truly an amazing fish! Another true testament to the world class steelhead only the Muskegon River can produce!

Up and down …. up and down are the weather patterns we’ve been experiencing on the Muskegon River the past couple weeks. 70’s and sun one day to 23 degrees and ice the next. These up and down weather patterns have been keeping the water temps cold for this time of the year hovering around the 40-degree mark.
The flows are also low for this time of year. All that’s needed is a strong push of rain and some warmer weather to really kick-start the spring steelhead run on the Muskegon.
Strong numbers of very fresh steelhead are positioned in deep pools and medium fast water throughout the river system. The stage is being set for another incredible spring steelhead run on the Muskegon River!
