Here’s John from Chicago with a bruiser of a Muskegon River steelhead! Congrats John!

John’s massive 18-pound steelhead came in just under 34-inches of twisted crimson red steel! Great steelhead John!

Not to be out done, here’s John friend Drew with a very large chrome steelhead from the Muskegon.

Here’s Drew getting it done again with a beautiful beast of a crimson red steelhead.
Up and down …. up and down are the weather patterns we’ve been experiencing on the Muskegon River the past couple weeks. 70’s and sun one day to 23 degrees and ice the next. These up and down weather patterns have been keeping the water temps cold for this time of the year hovering around the 40-degree mark.
The flows are also low for this time of year. All that’s needed is a strong push of rain and some warmer weather to really kick-start the spring steelhead run on the Muskegon.
Strong numbers of very fresh steelhead are positioned in deep pools and medium fast water throughout the river system. The stage is being set for another incredible spring steelhead run on the Muskegon River!
