Here’s William from LaCrosse, WI with this beautiful crimson red double stripe buck! We talked about the size of the steelhead running on the big side this fall and winter. Well Williams double stripe buck is the prime example; tipping the boga’s at 18lbs and measuring at a wall-hanger status of 34 inches. Great job Will! Incredible steelhead!
Winter steelhead fishing conditions remain ideal with flows that came up to 3000 cfs and now holding at a perfect 2500 cfs. This new push of water from the run off will shuffle the deck and bring new steelhead up the river system. With mild temps in the forecast for the next couple weeks, the fishing conditions could not be better for winter steelhead fishing on the Muskegon river.
