Sore arms and a worn down net was the name of the game today, as I couldn’t believe the sheer numbers of steelhead I witnessed first hand. Every once in a while you have one of those days on the Muskegon where you just can’t do any wrong; this was definitely one of those days!
Water conditions are on the low side hovering around the 2000 cfs level with a light stain. Water temps are a little cold for this time of year but slowly rising around the 37 degree mark. The next couple weeks mixed with rain and warmer nights are exactly whats needed to raise those water temps to that magical 42 degree point and kick the steelhead run into full gear!
