(John with a very healthy fall steelhead from the Muskegon River)
Here’s John from the Chicago area with the best steelhead of the day that put up an outstanding fight. It’s really nice to see the size of these steelhead so far this year are complimenting this years salmon class. It use to be a steelhead in excess of 30 inches and 14-lbs was a great fish (and still is). But now 30-inch steelhead are starting to become the average size this fall. Cant wait for what’s to come in December!
The Muskegon recently received a push of water which means more steelhead should enter the river system. Water levels and clarity are perfect right now and the steelhead numbers are good.
We have openings next week of Thanksgiving so give us a call if you’d like to put a bend in the rod with family and friends. Click here to book a trip!
