Ken with a very well earned steelhead on the last cast of the day!
Here’s Ken and Rick from the east side of the state with some outstanding spring steelhead from the Muskegon River. Including Ken’s mammoth 30+ inch hen. I give Ken a lot of credit for sticking it out after suffering one devastating lost fish after the other, only to boat the biggest and the best of the day in the 9th hour and last cast of the day. Great job guys! Awesome fish!

Water levels are a little low for this time of year at 2600 cfs, but the water temps are climbing up to 39 degrees. Steelhead are on the move. Goods numbers are present throughout the river system. All that is needed now is a push of water to get the run in gear. All in all, things are starting to shape up nicely for the spring steelhead run on the Muskegon River!
