Here’s Josh from Newaygo, MI with an absolute horse of a winter steelhead from the Muskegon river. Tipping the scale at 16lbs, 32 inches. Had to pull anchor and drop back for this one. Incredible fight! Great job Josh! Congratulations on such a nice steelhead!!
One thing I love about winter steelheading is the assortment of colors on these magnificent fish.
Here’s Josh with another chrome beauty to start the day.
From crimson red to crystal chrome like Josh’s first of the day pictured above. Winter fishing the Muskegon river produces some incredibly colored steelhead!
Josh with another beautiful chromed out steelhead.
Not to be outdone, here’s Ron (aka..dad) with a beautiful winter hen.
Here’s Josh with brother Brennan and his Dad helping celebrate a victory of a battle won! Congrats guys!
Water conditions are ideal for winter steelhead. Cold clear 35 degree water temps with perfect flows are holding good numbers of steelhead.
